Sleep testing, in familiar surroundings.
Enquire about a Level 3 Home Sleep Test through our alliance partner MediComfort. Your clinician determines whether this test is appropriate.

A focused look at breathing while you sleep.
A Level 3 home sleep test uses a portable recorder and a limited set of sensors. It helps investigate suspected obstructive sleep apnoea in people selected by a clinician. It is not a test for every cause of poor sleep.
- Airflow & effort
- Sensors track breathing and the effort to breathe.
- Oxygen & pulse
- A finger sensor records oxygen saturation and pulse.
- Limited sleep detail
- Unlike a full PSG, a typical Level 3 test does not record brain waves to stage sleep.
From setup to your next step.
Confirm the test
Ask your clinician whether a home test is appropriate.
Learn the setup
The provider explains the supplied sensors and recorder.
Record overnight
Use the kit as instructed for your usual sleep period.
Return & review
Return the kit and arrange a clinician review of the interpreted report.

A little preparation helps.
- Confirm when and where the kit will be fitted, collected and returned.
- Ask for written setup instructions and a contact for loose sensors or recording problems.
- Confirm preparation and medication instructions with the provider; do not change prescribed treatment yourself.
Your provider’s instructions for the supplied equipment take priority. Ask about anything you are unsure of before testing starts.
A home test has limits. Follow-up is important.
A negative, unclear or technically inadequate home sleep apnoea test may need follow-up PSG. Your clinician considers the recording alongside your symptoms and medical history rather than relying on a device result alone.
